I am H. Fred Burkhardt. My time on the ship was August 1964 through May 1965. I was assistant Navigator, Ltjg. I was the cruise book editor. I now live in Scottsdale, AZ and have a condo in San Diego just a few miles across the bay from the Navy Yard where we were docked. So in a way, after 45 years, I have only moved a few miles to Coronado.
