Hello,
I found your information on the USS Estes Association Page. My father-in-law, Lee P. Day, was on the 1966 cruise. He was in the S-1 Division as a cook. He passed away in 1976. My husband was only 12 at the time. He would love to know more about his dad and his time spent in the Navy. I am trying to locate anyone who may have known him and could share information, or pictures. I have just started my search but have already made contact with one person who does remember him.
Would appreciate any info you might have.
