Place Pat, MM-2 - Mike Div - 1962-1966 - - Submitted 8/5/16

I served on the Estes from the time it was in the yards in Long Beach, 1962, until Nov. 1966. I was a Machinist Mate E-5, in "Mike" Division, when I was discharged. Worked in the engine room, and was on the ship's main throttles at General Quarters. I was on the beach at Da Nang, and am a Shellback.
