Dear Sirs,
Am looking for George E. Cowan from 1952-53 from the
USS Estes AGC-12, would've been in San Diego at the time. Came across an
S.E. Cowan from the 54-55 Far East Cruise Book, but don't believe this
is the same person. My mother passed away in 1987, and she and Mr. Cowan
had had a relationship, and when she told him of the impending
pregnancy, their ship left soon thereafter. My mother never harbored any
ill feelings, but left me with this limited info in case I would ever
become curious in locating my biological father. I am now 57 yrs. old
and if this man is found I would never make contact unless he wished it
to be so, (if in fact he is still alive). I do not have his Military
I.D. # or Social Security # or anything like that. I do have
one very small photo of him, and that is why I don't believe it to be
the S.E. Cowan, (although uncanny that it is the same middle initial and
an uncommon last name), the photo looks nothing like him.
